Growth: A Poem

I feel no shame for my mistakes

The past is done and through

Moving forward is the only option

To be successful in what I aim to do

I refuse to allow guilt to consume me

Nor anxiety to take hold

My past does not define me

And my future has yet to unfold

I allow myself to grow and change

And learn from the wrongs I’ve done

I’m so much more than who I used to be

And I can’t wait to see who I will continue to become.
