Simple Health

What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

I’ve only truly started prioritizing my health for about the past two years or so. Part of that included changing my eating habits to help with my endometriosis. I learned to eat intuitively rather than eat as much as possible and to mostly cut out inflammatory foods from my diet.

I still indulge in sugar and gluten-filled foods, but I’ve discovered that a true diet is finding the balance that works for your individual health rather than cutting out foods you enjoy that may not be the healthiest.

Yoga is another one of my favorites for both physical and mental health. Earlier this year, I decided I was going to make yoga a part of my weekly routine and I’m more than glad I did. It helps to calm my mind and ease my chronic back pain.

Trying a more holistic approach toward most things has been very beneficial to my own health and well-being. I try to find natural and simple remedies for the health issues I face, and so far I’ve only seen positives come from it.

I still have much to learn, but at the present time I am glad I took my health into my own hands.
