What would you change about modern society?

There are many different things that cross my mind when reading this question. But if I could change one main thing about our current society, it would be having people take accountability for their actions and choices.

I see people daily of all age groups and walks of life constantly putting themselves into a victim mentality instead of realizing they have the choice to do better and grow as a person.

These people tend to think they deserve special treatment rather than realizing we’re all in the same boat; some people just decide to learn from their mistakes instead of repeating them.

People in the modern age are selfish, and I believe that coincides completely with the lack of accountability seen in many individuals today. We tend to believe our problems are more important than anyone else’s, which is simply not true.

Admit to your wrongdoings, move forward with better intentions, and have some personal growth during the process. Empathetic, genuine people are what we need if we want to improve our society.
